India Records Highest Ever Single-Day Vaccination Achievement with Over 2.5 Crore Doses Administered

India achieved a remarkable milestone in its COVID-19 vaccination drive by administering over 2.5 crore vaccine doses in a single day. This achievement marks the highest ever number of doses administered in a day since the launch of the nationwide vaccination campaign.

The massive vaccination effort, coordinated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with state governments and healthcare workers, aimed to accelerate the vaccination coverage across the country. The record-breaking achievement reflects India’s commitment to ramping up vaccination efforts amidst ongoing efforts to combat the pandemic.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya applauded the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved in achieving this milestone. “This record achievement is a testament to India’s resolve and collective strength in combating COVID-19. I commend the dedication and hard work of our healthcare professionals and volunteers,” Mandaviya stated.

The vaccination campaign has been instrumental in expanding coverage across all age groups, with special emphasis on vulnerable populations and areas with high transmission rates. Efforts are also underway to increase vaccine accessibility in rural and remote areas through mobile vaccination units and outreach programs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation for the record-breaking vaccination drive. “The achievement of administering over 2.5 crore vaccine doses in a single day is a significant milestone in our fight against COVID-19. I congratulate everyone involved in this massive effort,” Modi tweeted.

The record vaccination day comes as India continues to administer vaccines to eligible individuals through a network of vaccination centers, hospitals, and healthcare facilities. The government has emphasized the importance of vaccination in preventing severe illness, reducing transmission, and achieving herd immunity.

As India accelerates its vaccination drive, health authorities urge citizens to continue adhering to COVID-appropriate behavior, including wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and following hygiene protocols, to curb the spread of the virus.
